Elizabeth Perlas Bumanglag

Elizabeth Perlas Bumanglag was born in Claveria, Philippines on August 22, 1922. She was the fifth of eight children born to the late Jose Cardona Perlas and the late Olympia Malapira Perlas. She is survived by her one and only daughter, Daisy Agullana Agra and her only one surviving sister, Nieves Bumanglag who lives in Kentucky. She is also the beloved, admired and cherished grandma to Rommel and Svet and a great grandma to Scotty and Stephanie.

At a young age, Elizabeth was instilled the values of hard work and diligence. These characteristics have been established through her accomplishments of attaining her knowledge in dressmaking and also finishing a degree in Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at the National University in the Philippines even if she was already married and has a daughter at that time.

Elizabeth migrated to the USA in 1975 and worked at the St. Francis Hotel at the housekeeping department up to 1996. She loves to go back and forth to the Philippines visiting her relatives during her retirement years.

Although Elizabeth is no longer here with us, we know she is now resting in God's paradise, smiling down on us. She will be dearly missed! Let us never forget her life and the legacy she has left here on earth.
