Elisa Villanueva passed away on August 19, 2012, at Seton Medical Center in Daly City, California, at the age of 63. She was born in the Phillipines on July 27, 1949. She was a teacher in the Philippines; after coming to San Francisco she worked for many years as a clerk in the State Compensation Insurance Fund.

She was the beloved sister of Aurelio B. Villanueva, Florencia V. Villanueva, Gregorio B. Villanueva, and Severina V. Pascual; she is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins in the Philippines.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 pm on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 (with a Vigil Service at 7 pm) at the Tiffany Chapel of CYPRESS LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 62 Santa Rosa Ave., San Francisco. Elisa will be sent home to the Philippines for burial.
