Richard L. Dickinson, born on January 4th, 1942 died on November 12, 2012 in South San Francisco, California at the age of 70. He was a resident in Millbrae for 37 years. He was born in San Francisco, lived in Noe Valley until 1975. Richard always mentioned how proud he was to be a San Franciscan.

Survived by his father, David Verne Dickinson, who was born in Vancouver Canada of Nova Scotia settlers in 1916. His mother, of Wisconsin German stock, was Dorothy May Simon (deceased). His brothers are James (deceased), Larry and Steven. He was survived by his Aunt Marcella Spainhower (Simon), long time faithful Jehovah's Witness, born in 1912 and her son, cousin Dale Dani.

In Oct 1989 Richard married his beloved wife Lillian, His children are Evan, David and Christopher; his step children are Carlann, Charles and Christina. He was blessed with grandchildren Joshua, Jon, Christopher, Adrien, Sondra, Phillip, Allyson, twins Anthony and Nicholas and Eleia. Ricky was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews and Brother's and Sister's in the Truth and many others that knew him.

Richard worked as a painting contractor in San Francisco for fifty years. Richard and Lillian enjoyed travel and classical music. They enjoyed sharing the written word and the English language. Being the family historian, Richard has traced his families roots back to being a 7th cousin of Abraham Lincoln. Richard is known for his caring concern for people of all ages, helping in any way he knew how.

Rick was a faithful minister of Jehovah from his baptism at the age 8. He was a full time Pioneer in the ministry starting at age 16, maintaining his ministerial work until his death. He was an elder in the Christian congregation for 25 years. Richard brought over 50 individuals into the Christian family thanks to the help of Jehovah's holy spirit on his ministry work that spanned 62 years.
